Please join us for the 2024 One Step Forward Celebration Awards DeSales University, on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
The One Step Forward Celebration is an annual awards gala to celebrate the accomplishments, triumphs, and victories of local children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), their families, and inclusive local businesses that support people with IDD in the Lehigh Valley.
You can participate in this event by nominating someone you know for an award, attending or sponsoring the event, or making a donation to our silent auction or wine wall! All money raised from the One Step Forward Celebration directly impacts The Arc’s Advocacy Department, the Lehigh Valley’s only provider of completely free resource coordination, training, and one-to-one advocacy support for people with IDD and their families. With a focus on collaboration, education, empowerment, and self-advocacy, the Advocacy Team connects with and supports people in navigating the complicated IDD systems.

The One Step Forward Celebration is held annually by The Arc and it celebrates the accomplishments, triumphs, and victories of local children and adults with IDD, their families, and inclusive local businesses that help to build a more inclusive Lehigh Valley and support people with IDD in our communities. The 2024 One Step Forward Celebration will be held at the DeSales University Conference Center on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Donate to our silent auction or wine wall!
In addition to the awards, two other highlights of the One Step Forward Celebration are the silent auction and wine wall. Both offer guests a fun way to engage with The Arc and each other. By making a silent auction or wine wall donation, you will not only be promoting your outstanding business to a diverse and influential audience but also demonstrating your commitment to making our community more inclusive and supportive of individuals with disabilities.
